Design begins with a good question.Without the analyse of context it will not lead us to the inevitable form. Since 2006 i have been involved into design, I did various projects from space to product,from strategy to craft. The essence of design is always the same,but the approach to design solution could be very different.
I am always looking for the logic between material und concept. Design is like playing ping-pong with your client, the balance between both makes good design. I have a strong faith in making things, not in the narrow way. Learning by doing, read books, travel a lot are three methods that I make projects.
My roots in china and the good design education in Germany give me a very wide vision. In the past five years I have worked with product designer, textile designer,architect,coder,farmer,salesman,lawyers,crafter,film maker and so on.This Variety enhances my design thinking skills and design execution.
Design does not have to be very serious,but the way to the solution is very serious.
设计开始于一个问题，如果这个问题提的够好的话，答案已经是不言自明的了。很多人把设计当作给予一种形式，我却不这么认为。设计是关于梳理，连接，重新创造的过程。形式是外衣，但是逻辑是骨。如果没有逻辑的支撑，就无法通向合理的形式。设计有感性的一面，但是理性和绝对的执行力可以放大这种感性，提供给顾客更好的体验，无论是产品还是空间。从2006年进入设计领域我就开始参与非常不同面向的项目，从空间到产品，从策略到手工艺，我都有涉猎。设计的本质总是类似的，但是通往本质的路却是千差万别。
对于材料与概念之间的内在逻辑我有非常强烈的信仰。做设计有时候就像与顾客打乒乓球，来往之间的张力和平衡可以造就好的设计。设计从来不是单方面的自说自话。在做中学，阅读，旅行是我做设计的三大方法。
出身于中国，在德国受到很好的设计教育给了我一个宽广的视野。在过去几年中，我和非常多不同的人一起合作过设计项目，他们中有建筑师，室内设计师，有产品设计师，面料设计师，手工艺人，电影制作者，书籍设计师，农民，销售人员，律师等等。对我来说，设计是面对广阔世界的方法论。
设计的结果未必需要严肃，但是通往解决方案的过程需要严肃的被对待。
